RAW REVEAL
Ant Middleton, former SAS soldier and television personality, has spoken about his “shock” and heartbreak following the death of his close friend Liam Payne. In an emotional statement, Middleton described Payne as someone who “lacked a sense of belonging,” despite his global fame and immense success. Middleton said, “Liam had everything you’d think would make someone happy — fame, fortune, a beautiful family — but deep down, he was searching for something more. He craved connection and understanding.”
Reflecting on their time together, Middleton revealed that he and Payne shared a unique bond over their struggles with mental health and navigating life in the spotlight. “We talked a lot about what it meant to feel grounded and what it means to be truly at peace. Liam was always so open and honest with me, but I could see the weight he carried,” Middleton added.
Middleton expressed his admiration for Payne’s resilience and generosity, saying the former One Direction star never stopped trying to lift others despite his own struggles. “He had the biggest heart,” Middleton shared. “Even when he was battling his demons, he was always looking out for others. That’s something I’ll never forget about him.”
The former SAS operator also spoke about the importance of addressing mental health issues, especially for those in high-pressure careers. “Liam’s death is a wake-up call. We need to talk more, listen more, and support those around us. Sometimes, people who seem to have it all are the ones who need the most help.”
Concluding his heartfelt message, Middleton urged fans to honor Payne’s legacy by spreading kindness and compassion. “Liam would want us to lift each other up, to give back, and to never take our loved ones for granted. He was a beautiful soul who will be deeply missed.”
