Series six of Drag Race UK, hosted by the BBC, has unveiled its new ru-cruits judges.
Judges RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Alan Carr, and Graham Norton will be back for another season, and they’ll be joined by some famous faces to lend them a hand.
After competing as a character on Snatch Game, a mock game show in which the queens assume the personae of famous celebrities, Alexandra Burke has become smitten with Drag Race and will soon be joining the cast as a voice coach for the queens. The Girl Group Challenge and the Ru-sical are two legendary tasks that will need her talents.
Since his breakout role in S Club Juniors, choreographer Aaron Renfree has shared the stage with the likes of Little Mix, Taylor Swift, and The Saturdays. Soon, he and Claudimar Neto will be testing the queens. In addition to her work with Girls Aloud, Neto has a long history of performing with Little Mix.
The time has come to reveal those crucial judges:
Simon Le Bon, lead singer of Duran Duran, does something completely out of the ordinary: he judges drag shows. With Michelle and Ru, he’ll be testing which queen is ravenous (like the wolf) for that huge win.
Le Bon says: “I’ve been ever so slightly OBSESSED with Drag Race since 2009. I can’t tell you how incredible it was for me to be on the panel alongside Michelle, Alan and the extraordinary human being – RuPaul. And that’s before I even start to mention the QUEENS in competition. This was one of the biggest highlights in what has been a terrific year for me.”
