Saturday’s win over the Liberty showed how hard it is to beat a team four times in a row. Indiana has improved since New York faced them early in the season. Their ball movement is sharper, shot selection is smarter, and lineup rotations are more effective. Caitlin Clark is also performing exceptionally well. She recently became the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double with 19 points, 13 assists, and 12 rebounds in the win over NY.
“Honestly, I’m just happy we won,” Clark said after the victory. “I take a lot of pride in being able to do a lot of different things for this team. I think we’re really good when I can get the ball off the glass and just go in transition and find my teammates and set them up. Obviously, 13 assists, that means my teammates made 13 shots off my passes so that goes to them.”
Clark is known for breaking records, and doing so in the WNBA, the highest level of competition, is incredibly impressive.
