How rivals, Walsall, Derby County, and Birmingham City fare in the massive EFL attendance chart

Birmingham City will host their last match of the 2023/24 Championship season at home. However, they find themselves in an undesirable position, fighting to avoid relegation once more. Currently situated in the relegation zone, they face a crucial game against Huddersfield Town in their second-to-last fixture.

A positive outcome in this match, coupled with favorable results elsewhere this weekend, could alleviate some of the pressure for their upcoming game against Norwich City. Although Norwich is vying for a playoff spot, their position in the top six is not yet secure. Significant preparations have been made for this pivotal match, with Norwich allocated extra tickets. Efforts have been made to increase St Andrew’s capacity, ensuring Birmingham City fans’ presence regardless of the team’s circumstances.

This weekend will also shed light on Birmingham’s future opponents. The League One and League Two seasons conclude on Saturday before the playoffs commence on May 4. Portsmouth has already clinched the league title, while Derby County and Bolton Wanderers vie for the second automatic promotion spot. Meanwhile, Port Vale, Fleetwood Town, and Carlisle United have been relegated to League Two, while Cheltenham Town, Burton Albion, and Cambridge United strive to avoid a similar fate.

Stockport County has secured the League Two title and will compete in the third tier next season alongside Wrexham and Mansfield Town, who secured the other automatic promotion places.
